A writing adventure for ages 7 to 12
The Young Storyteller Quest
Do you love telling stories? Do you dream of seeing your own words come to life in a real book? This is your chance.
One winner will
- Have their story completed in collaboration with The Beekeeper Writer
- See it professionally illustrated and published as a printed and digital book
- Be credited as the Young Storyteller, with their picture on the back cover
- Receive their finished book
- Choose the charity that receives all proceeds
Every participant receives an invitation to the Lightkeepers' Circle, with exclusive updates, creative tips and early book news.
Marc and Leila will be filmed developing the winning story, with short behind the scenes videos shared along the way. If agreed, Leila and the winner can also create the story together over Zoom.
How to enter
Send 200 to 1,000 words of your best ideas. Try to include:
- Characters with personality. Who are they? What makes them unique?
- Where and when. A forest, another world, or right now in your town?
- Who and what. What is happening to them?
- The ending, maybe. Finish it, leave a cliffhanger, or leave it to us.
A parent or guardian can email the entry to contact@thebeekeeperwriter.com with the subject line "Young Storyteller Quest".
The Quest is open indefinitely. Entries are considered as suitable stories arrive.
