This journey began not just with bees or words, but with a little girl who changed everything.
Leila, our daughter, was the spark behind the Leila’s Light book series, a collection of children’s stories filled with wonder, self-discovery and deep care for the earth. Her imagination and natural wisdom awakened something new in how I see the world and from that, a writer was born.
Today, The Beekeeper Writer brings together our sustainable honey brand Mel da Terra and the Leila’s Light children’s books under one soulful roof.
From hive to page, it’s all part of the same dream: To nurture truth, inspire young minds and honour the land that makes it all possible.

Our Journey So Far
It all began in a busy corner of the East Midland in the UK. A place of traffic, routines and the low hum of everyday life. In the middle of it, a father and daughter began making up stories. Not with screens or scripts, but with imagination. Wild, silly, thoughtful tales whispered at bedtime or shared on walks.
Those stories stayed with me. They grew roots.
What started as quiet moments between us became sketches, then chapters, and eventually something much bigger. A book series called Leila’s Light. A way of writing that felt alive. Alongside the writing, life began to shift. Bees arrived. Honey arrived. Trees were planted. A tiny house took shape. The seasons changed and everything began to slow down. Now those stories have a home.
The Beekeeper Writer is a place where my books and my bees can live side by side. Two worlds, woven together by the same thread: a belief that what we create should be real, rooted, and full of heart.
Leila’s Light is just the beginning. A companion series, Leila’s Conspiracies, is quietly stirring. Something braver, bolder and just a little stranger.
Through it all, the bees keep humming.
